Acceptable Use

Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated July 2026. This policy applies to every buyer and seller on Vendars. It forms part of our Terms of Service. Breaking it can lead to listing removal, held funds, account suspension, or a permanent ban.

1. Who can sell

Every seller must complete identity verification — a government-issued ID (Ghana Card or passport) plus a live selfie — and be approved by our team before listing any product. Accounts must use accurate, truthful information. One person or business may not operate multiple accounts to evade limits or bans.

2. Prohibited & restricted goods

You may not list, sell, or attempt to buy any of the following:

Illegal, stolen, counterfeit, or replica goods, or anything infringing another party's trademark or copyright.
Weapons, firearms, ammunition, or explosives.
Drugs, controlled substances, and related paraphernalia.
Prescription medicines, unapproved health cures, or unlicensed medical devices.
Adult or sexually explicit material, and any content involving minors.
Live animals, endangered species, and products made from them (ivory, etc.).
Currency, financial instruments, gift cards resold for cash, and cryptocurrency.
Personal data, hacked accounts, or any hacking / surveillance tools.
Anything regulated that you are not licensed to sell, or that is illegal in Ghana or Nigeria.

Vendars lists physical consumer goods only. We may remove any listing at our discretion.

3. Prohibited conduct

Off-platform payments. Never ask a buyer to pay, or a seller to accept payment, by mobile money, WhatsApp, bank transfer, or cash outside Vendars. Doing so voids all protection and is grounds for a ban.
Fraud & misrepresentation. No fake listings, misleading descriptions, doctored photos, fake tracking, or bait-and-switch.
Money laundering. The platform may not be used to move, layer, or disguise the source of funds.
Fake reviews or ratings, review manipulation, or coordinated inauthentic activity.
Harassment or abuse of other users or staff, hate speech, threats, or spam.
Abuse of the platform, including attempts to hack, scrape, overload, or bypass security or verification.

4. Seller obligations

Ship paid orders promptly, describe items honestly, provide genuine tracking, and handle buyer questions in good faith. Repeated disputes, late shipping, or misrepresentation lower your trust standing and can lead to removal.

5. Enforcement

Vendars may remove listings, hold funds pending review, suspend or permanently ban accounts, and report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities. Where a transaction is affected, our Refund & Returns Policy and dispute process determine how funds are handled.
